After School Program
We are a fully licensed child care facility, proudly meeting all state regulations and welcoming random, unannounced inspections. This ensures our program consistently maintains the highest standards of safety, structure, and quality for every child in our care.
At North Star Child Care, we’re committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and well-organized environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. Our center features four dedicated activity areas, allowing children to rotate every 45 minutes. This setup keeps their day fresh, engaging, and fun—while supporting exploration, creativity, and age-appropriate learning.
To best meet each child’s developmental needs, groups are carefully organized by age, ensuring they receive the attention, activities, and guidance tailored just for them.

Homework Room — We Get It Done! 📚✨
Our Homework Room provides students with a calm, quiet, and focused environment where they can complete their school assignments before heading home for the day. With a dedicated classroom setting and supportive staff, students receive the guidance, encouragement, and assistance they need to succeed.
We work hand-in-hand with parents to keep children on track. If your child has special assignments or specific instructions, simply share them with their teacher so we can make sure everything is completed accurately and on time.
Activities & Crafts — Where Creativity Comes to Life! 🎨✨
Our Activity Room is a lively, hands-on space designed to help children grow through play, imagination, and exploration. Here, kids strengthen their motor skills, concentration, and social interaction while enjoying a wide variety of games, projects, and creative challenges.
From colorful crafts to skill-building activities, every moment in this room is crafted to spark curiosity and inspire imagination. It’s a place where children can express themselves, try new things, and have FUN while learning!
Outdoor Play — Big Space, Big Fun! ☀️⚽🏀
Our outdoor playground offers a spacious, open area where children can run, play, and challenge themselves through friendly, active competition. This space is designed to strengthen gross motor skills, coordination, teamwork, and confidence—all while having an absolute blast.
Children enjoy a variety of outdoor games and activities, including:

Our Preschool Program is thoughtfully designed to give children a productive, enriching, and joy-filled day. With a well-planned schedule that includes both group learning and focused classroom time, children experience a balance of structure, creativity, and exploration. Constructive play is at the heart of our approach, helping little learners build independence, imagination, and confidence.
We are proud to use the STREAMin3 Curriculum, a research-based program that supports early childhood development through hands-on learning in science, technology, reading, engineering, arts, and math—plus the most important piece: meaningful relationships.

Manners are woven into our daily routine. We teach children to respect themselves, their peers, and their environment. Personal hygiene is also a key focus at North Star:
Handwashing with soap and water before and after meals
Learning to sneeze into a tissue or elbow
Practicing independence in keeping ourselves clean and healthy

We take pride in helping children learn essential personal information, such as their names, addresses, and phone numbers—skills that promote confidence and safety.
